Have you heard about TROVE? Do you know how to use it to get the best results? Trove is the website for Australian articles especially old newspapers held by the National Library of Australia.

I am holding a class on Tues 19th Sept at the GFHS rooms from 6pm on just this topic. $25 per person – all welcome regardless of experience. Bookings required please 0419 224 628
Arrive at 5.30 for a cuppa and a chat – we start at 6 and go till 7.30 then discussion time till 8.
If you are reading the posts on this site – you are interested in Family History. There are many people who would like to learn more about how to do their own tree. The GFHS does not run classes – however there are classes being run by me in Gympie if you are interested in learning more about this amazing subject. I am a member of the GFHS and have been very involved for over 10 years now – I am passionate about that and continue to be on the committee. I also run my own business called Follow Your Family. We compliment each other as I encourage my clients to look at the benefits of joining the society to be able to access their knowledge and library. If you are interested in learning to do your own tree – pop over to my facebook page and let me know if you are interested.
Bookings are required. I am also looking into running classes in Glenwood, Kandanga and anywhere else that we can get 4 people or more together – expressions of interest for this is also invited. My facebook page is: https://www.facebook.com/followyourfamily/
Kind regards Di Woodstock 0419 224 628 I am also an admin on this page for the GFHS
